Return Policy


How to Return to a Store  |   How to Return by Mail

Return to a Burlington Store

  1. Bring your shipment confirmation email to a store near you.
  2. A store associate will scan the shipment confirmation email. The items that are returned will be refunded to the original method of payment (excluding Paypal – see below*)

Return by Mail

  1. Complete the Return Section of your packing slip.
  2. Circle the item number of the item/items you are returning.
  3. Burlington will refund your credit card for the purchase amount less shipping and handling within 14 business days of receipt of your return, however, it may take up to two full billing cycles for your credit to appear on your credit card statement.
  4. You will receive an email notifying you when we have received your return and credited your account.
Note: You are responsible for all return shipping charges unless otherwise noted on your packing slip.

General Return Policy

  1. All items must be returned within 30 days of purchase.
  2. Please bring your original receipt or shipping confirmation email.
  3. Merchandise must be in new condition, unused and unwashed and in its original packaging.
  4. Refunds will be issued in the original form of payment.
  5. Non-receipted returns, accompanied by a photo ID (driver's license, state issued non-driver ID, passport, or military ID) and returns after 60 days will receive a gift card for the lowest selling price.

Online Policy

  1. Shipping charges are non-refundable.
  2. Due to health and sanitary reasons, breast pumps, breast pump accessories and fragrances are not returnable under any conditions.
  3. Some merchandise returns are subject to a re-stocking fee. This is stated on the individual product pages.
  4. Many of our vendor-fulfilled items (special orders) may need to be returned to the specified vendor. Please refer to the return address on your packing slip.
  5. Returns from orders placed with PayPal can only be returned by mail or in store. Please see below for how your account will be credited.*
  6. We apologize; we do not currently offer an exchange program for items returned by mail. You must place a new order for the desired items at burlingtoncoatfactory.com.
Please note: you will be charged for shipping and handling on your new order.

Store Policy

  1. An original receipt dated within 30 days of purchase is required for all returns/exchanges in our stores.
  2. Layaway deposits, payments and returned Layaway merchandise, as well as receipted returns after 30 days, will receive a gift card (less service fees).
  3. Non-receipted returns, accompanied by a photo ID (driver's license, state issued non-driver ID, passport, or military ID) and returns after 60 days will receive a gift card for the lowest selling price.
  4. All returns are subject to system verification and/or approval.
  5. Items bought in our local stores cannot be returned by mail to our web store fulfillment center.

Return Credits

  1. Refunds will be issued in the original form of payment.
  2. Returns from a check purchase will be credited to the original account.
  3. Debit cards using PIN will receive cash.
  4. Merchandise returned from a completed layaway and receipted returns accepted after 30 days will receive refunds in the form of a gift card.
  5. If your item was a gift: the original purchaser will receive a credit for the return on their credit card after the item is returned to our fulfillment center. OR you may return the gift item to one of our local stores to receive a store credit or exchange the item.
  6. If you placed an order with a gift card and a credit card, you will receive an eGift card for the portion of your order paid with the gift card and a credit to your credit.
  7. *If you paid for your order through PayPal and return your item by mail, you will receive a credit to your PayPal account.
    If you paid for your order through PayPal and return your item to a store, you will receive store credit.

Luxury Vintage Collection

If you are not satisfied with an item purchased from LXRandCo made on the Burlington website, you can return it within 10 days from the date of delivery. You will need to send an e-mail to info@lxrco.com with your return request along with a forwarded version of your Burlington order confirmation e-mail. LXRandCo will require the original order confirmation e-mail in order to proceed with your return.

The orange cable attached to the product must remain intact in order for an item to be returned. If the orange cable on the item is cut, you will not be able to return the order.

Items purchased from LXRandCo on burlingtoncoatfactory.com cannot be returned in store.

What Is Your Refund Policy?
If you return your online purchase, Burlington will issue a refund to the original payment method you used to purchase the item.

Can I Exchange My Purchase For Another Product?
Sorry, exchanges are not possible at this time for purchases made online.

When Will I See My Credit Or Refund?
Refunds will only be issued upon receipt of the returned item at our final shipping warehouse. Please allow up to 5 business days from the time the item arrives at our warehouse for the refund to be issued.

The time it takes for a refund to appear will depend on your credit card company or bank. Typically, a refund will appear on the client's billing statement around 10 business days after the date of the refund.
