Style for Everyone.
We live it. Love it. Celebrate it.
And this year we’re celebrating personal style in a totally big way with our #ItsMyStyle campaign. Check out these 4 remarkable teens who are making their mark and lighting it up with some serious mad skills. And they do it with incredible energy, drive and style that’s truly all their own.
Kayciblu, 12 Years Old
This rapper found her voice early on. In fourth grade, Kayciblu was bullied. Rapping became her outlet, helping her gain confidence and feel stronger. Kayciblu’s personal style? It’s out there. Colorful. Fun. For her, what you wear is just as important as what you rap.
Malike, 20 Years Old
Malike’s love of the lens began when he borrowed his father’s camera at 12 years old. Since then, he’s been shooting portraits, fashion – anything that catches his eye. For this West African native, the camera means freedom. And this freedom translates directly into his personal style…from his attitude to his clothing to his hair.
Brenden, 19 Years Old
A role in a local The Wizard of Oz production. That’s all it took to get this former skater kid hooked on performing. Dancing, singing, acting, beatboxing – Brenden does it all. Theater arts changed his life…from the way he talks to people to the way he dresses. His personal style matches how he performs: it’s outgoing with a cool mix of hip-hop indie.
Jessica, 14 Years Old
Music is therapy for Jessica. A singer and performer since she was 6 years old, she credits music for helping her discover who she is as well as her style. And speaking of style, Jessica’s is evolving – she’s all about pairing unexpected pieces together to create a standout look. When September comes, she can’t wait for everyone to see her new style.
Live it. Love it. Celebrate it. Share it – your favorite #ItsMyStyle video, that is. Tell us about your personal style #ItsMyStyle #BurlingtonStyle.
