Warm Coats & Warm Hearts Coat Drive
This annual collaboration is part of an ongoing effort to ensure no individual goes without a warm coat during the cold winter months. Each year the Warm Coats & Warm Hearts Coat Drive relies on the generosity and compassion of our customers across the country. In partnership with ABC's Good Morning America and the national non-profit organization K.I.D.S./Fashion Delivers, Burlington collects gently-worn coats in all its store locations and works with local agencies to distribute the coats to those most in need within the community. Having completed its 8th year, the coat drive has collected well over 1.5MM coats! Thanks to all those that continue to donate to help spread the gift of warmth!
Red Dress Event
Burlington is proud to support women’s heart health. Having completed its third year of partnership with The Heart Truth® and WomenHeart: The National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease, Burlington’s Red Dress Event helps to increase awareness among its customers about the importance of their heart health as heart disease is the leading cause of death in women. Each February and March, Burlington hosts a national Point-of-Sale campaign in all its store locations nationwide and as a result, has raised nearly $3MM to further education and support for women living with heart disease. Additionally, the campaign has provided funds towards the establishment of WomenHeart’s Hispanic initiative, Para La Mujer Hispana, dedicated to educating women of Hispanic decent about the risks of heart disease. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Light The Night Walk ®
Burlington is proud to be the #1 National Corporate Partner and Honored Friend of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Light the Night Walk ®. Over the 12 year partnership, Burlington has donated more than $22 million to LLS in their fight against blood cancers. Each year, customers generously support the cause by donating at check out at any Burlington location and Burlington Associates nationwide participate in the Light the Night Walk in communities across the country. Burlington Gives Back
Burlington Gives Back is a program dedicated to donating new sample merchandise to local philanthropic organizations in communities surrounding our stores. These events take place at select store locations and provide an opportunity to donate new merchandise to those most in need. The program’s official national non-profit partner, K.I.D.S./Fashion Delivers, identifies local non-profit 501 c 3 organizations in our store communities to receive such merchandise. Natural Disaster Relief Efforts
When unfortunate natural disasters occur, Burlington responds. Whether it’s international or domestic, Burlington finds a way to help. Over the past several years, the world has seen devastating Hurricanes, Earthquakes, Tornados, and Tsunamis. As a result, Burlington and its customers have donated funds and new merchandise to non-profit organizations assisting those most in need, whether it’s to the American Red Cross, Salvation Army, Donorschoose.org or K.I.D.S/Fashion Delivers, Burlington is there to help those in need.
Charitable Donation Policy
Burlington works exclusively with K.I.D.S/Fashion Delivers through its Burlington Gives Back program (described above) to make merchandise donations to charitable non-profit 501 c3 organizations. And Burlington does not make monetary grants/donations, donate gift cards or provide merchandise for philanthropic fashion shows, auctions, raffles or for any other fund-raising purposes.
